Frasers Property has gone outside its own ranks to fill the top job in its industrial and logistics business. EdgeProp reported on 13 October 2026 that Jai Mirpuri, a long-serving ESR executive, has been named chief executive of Frasers Property Industrial with effect from 11 January 2027. The answers below keep strictly to what that report sets out, question by question.

CT FoodNEX Readers Ask: Who Is Jai Mirpuri?

Mirpuri joined ESR in 2008, giving him more than 18 years with the group. He is chief executive of ESR Fund Managers and head of Southeast Asia at ESR. Before those roles he founded ESR India and served as its co-chief executive. His record therefore covers fund management, a regional leadership post and the building of a country business, all within one sector. In announcing the move, Frasers Property group chief executive Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi pointed to his deep expertise in industrial and logistics property, EdgeProp noted.

CT FoodNEX Readers Ask: How Is the Handover Timed?

Two fixed dates frame the change. Reini Otter, who has led Frasers Property Industrial for seven years, steps down on 17 December 2026. Mirpuri takes over on 11 January 2027. Otter is leaving to become chief executive of ESR Group's Australia and New Zealand business, closing a 28-year career at Frasers Property, according to EdgeProp. Taken together, those figures mean he spent about two decades in other parts of the group before taking charge of the industrial arm.

The move also runs in both directions. One senior figure crosses from Frasers Property to ESR, and another crosses from ESR to Frasers Property, with both moves set out in the same report.

CT FoodNEX Readers Ask: What Will the Role Cover?

Mirpuri will be responsible for the group's industrial and logistics operations in Australia and Europe. The brief includes oversight of the manager of Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust, a trust listed in Singapore. He will be based in Singapore and report to the group chief executive. That arrangement puts the executive running operations on two other continents in the same city where the listed trust trades. The report frames the appointment around those two regions and that single listed vehicle.

Where Does CT FoodNEX Sit Beside This News?

The Frasers appointment is a leadership story about one property group, while CT FoodNEX is a separate freehold project with its own developer, CT@Mandai Pte Ltd of Chiu Teng Group. The B2 general industrial food factory stands at 2A Mandai Estate in District 25. Its fully ramp-up block rises 10 storeys on a 7,459 sqm site and holds 109 modular production units that can be amalgamated, plus an industrial canteen. Vacant possession is expected on 30 September 2027, and the address is mapped on the location page.
